a bright light
harkening back
the call
echo of
baton, broken bones
he lived through

got to see the
Promised Land
taste blood rivers
hope for
lasting freedom
this time

bent forearms
protect the skull
heads of
statues crack
fissures in liberty
will burst

believed this
generation
can be Legacy
can lead
with love
everyday

and ended
with a call
for peace
now in the
land of peace
he shines

Freedom Rider
preach and harmonize
guide us
steady us
in-courage us
the world wrestles without you
